I’m thinking a lot about self respect lately. I’m learning. I have been told by a lot of people, generally men who don’t treat me well, that my low self esteem is a bother. It’s odd, it seems like nothing can make me stop seeing myself as ugly, fat, stupid, and boring, but I take full responsibility for my life and my actions. I know when I am being taken for granted… and I won’t put up with that. That’s self respect.
